Lima
The territory of Lima, the capital city of Peru, had a lot of inhabitants even before of the time of the Incas. Some examples of this are the numerous "huacas" (pyramids) along the wide valley of the Rimac river. The Maranga culture developed here and the Incas had in Pachacamac an important ceremonial center and strategic point of support in the coastal line.
Lima downtown has still many colonial buildings, such as churches, while other districts of the city like Miraflroes, San Isidro and Surco show the modern residences, offers sopping and entertainment centers and are very appropriated for spending the night at an hotel.
