The Yumbilla Waterfall is located in the «Valley of the Waterfalls» in the municipality of Cuispes in the Amazon region. With a total height of 896 m, it is the fifth highest waterfall in the world and the second highest in Peru.
• Drive from Chachapoyas to the town of Cuispes.
• Hike to Yumbilla waterfall.
• On the way we meet the waterfalls «Cascada del Medio Cerro» and «Cascada de Cristal».
• From the San Francisco Cave at an altitude of 2723 m, the water falls in four sections. The area is rich in flora such as bromeliads, orchids, giant ferns, etc. Animals that can be observed include cock of the rock, andean toucan, maranon thrush and sloths.
• Return to Chachapoyas.
